The Maples Inn is a “Painted Lady” Victorian, embellished in shades of pale yellow, slate blue, cranberry, and gold. She is maintained today as she was in her heyday at the turn of the 20th century…only now she offers new and modern amenities.
Our goal is to provide a relaxed, comfortable, adult environment for your special visit. We are your home away from home in Bar Harbor, the perfect setting from which to explore this truly magical part of Maine.
Located on a quiet, residential street, we’re set apart from the bustle of downtown, but just a few minutes walk from the heart of the village with its restaurants, shops, and gorgeous waterfront. Acadia National Park is minutes away on foot, by bike, and by car.
Our guests are invited to:
- Unwind in a rocking chair on the front porch, the perfect spot for conversation, a good book, or even an afternoon nap!
- Sample complimentary snacks with gourmet teas and coffees.
- Enjoy a game of cards or checkers in the inn’s Library.
- Savor breakfast in our sunny dining room, in the comfort of your room or suite, and in warm weather, dine al fresco on the front porch among flowers and ferns.
- Help yourself to complimentary snacks, and Mount Desert Spring Water of Maine to take with you on the trail.
- Chat with Jen and Josh about Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and Mount Desert Island. These are our favorite subjects, and we sincerely enjoy sharing our local tips and advice with you so that you may enjoy your visit to its fullest.
